Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2002, Tsodilo Hills includes a museum, administration buildings, a main campsite and ablutions, and three smaller un-serviced campsites nearby. 

According to the !Kung legend, a long time ago, when rocks were still soft and animals could talk, Tsodilo hills was a family made up of husband, wife and two children. There was conflict between the husband and wife. The wife then divorced the husband and moved away with both children. The younger child ater on returned to the father whilst the older child remained near the mother. This is why today we found them in the form of hills in their positions and their names; Male, Female and the Child.

The name Tsodilo means damp earth in !Kung.

Tsodilo Hills consisting of rock art, rock shelters, depressions, and caves. UNESCO estimates there are over 4500 rock paintings at the site.
